Temples and Shrines
Kunisaki Peninsula offers a rich culture combining Buddhism, Shinto, and mountain worship. Many temples and shrines were built as well as stone Buddhism statues. It is said that over half the Japan’s stone statues are found in Kunisaki Peninsula so a visit to a temple or shrine is a must. Feel the mystical atmosphere that has been passed down for a thousand years!
